Consulting
space & gentle guidance for doing the work ethically, sustainably, effectively, & joyfully
$160 + HST per video session | $300 for a 90-minute business mapping session
Being a therapist is great, and often hard.
You don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to help it feel more sustainable, ethical, effective, and fun.
I am able to help with all the parts of setting up a private practice: determining your niche, setting fees, and creating a business that feels like a joy to run. I also love supporting therapists with burnout, self care, and general strategies for doing this work for as long as they want to.
Consulting areas & approach
Practice set-up
Get help figuring out who you want to work with and how to do it skilfully, ethically, joyfully, and sustainably. Business guidance can include niching, finances, technology, and other systems.
Ethical non-monogamy & sexuality
Have clients engaging in multiple relationships and/or addressing challenges related to sexuality? I’m very comfortable and experienced in these areas and can support you with roleplay, case consultation, and education.
Using integrative approaches & somatics
Learn about using somatic (Somatic Experiencing), mindfulness-based, and parts work (IFS) modalities. My work is also informed by ACT, psychodynamic therapy and attachment theory.
Therapist care
These are sessions centered on supporting you. These may include topics like work-life boundaries, burnout, values work, and navigating life as a healing professional.
These are coaching/consulting sessions and not therapy: meaning, they are appropriate for short-term, solutions-focused challenges. If you’re hoping for deeper work, please seek ongoing therapy.
Who I work with
I mostly work with Registered Social Workers (RSWs) and Registered Psychotherapists (RPs). Qualifying psychotherapists are welcome, however, please note I do not currently offer supervision that would satisfy your CRPO hours. All therapists seeking consultation are expected to have completed a dedicated psychotherapy program or significant training in a specific modality. If you have not done so, we can do a one-time session exploring your options.
If you are a RSW in Ontario, please review the OCSWSSW guidelines for performing psychotherapy and their questions to consider when determining if you are competent to do so. Private practice is not an entry-to-practice competency for social workers and is best supported by additional training and mentorship specific to psychotherapy.
